We now have our own bi-color, white and yellow sweet corn (Incredible!) available in the market!  We also have Tennessee tomatoes and local green beans.  We have Indiana-grown zucchini, yellow squash, slicing cucumbers and pickling cucumbers.  We offer some tasty cantaloupes from southern Indiana and watermelons from southern states.

Our market on Highway 37 in Greenwood is now closed until October when we will open with pumpkins, make-your-own scarecrow and other fall fun.

We hosted a World Refugee Day event on Saturday, June 19th at our Raymond Street location.  Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. the Karen community enjoyed a picnic and playing games that are popular in their homeland.

For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and EBT.

Again at Waterman's Farm Market in 2010!

We are making land available to refugee farmers of the Karen nation from Burma.  It is our hope that being reconnected with the earth will facilitate a rekindling of their identity as farmers and will enable them to earn greater independence in this country. The Karen farmers will be producing vegetables that are typical of the American diet as well as some that are more likely to be found in an Asian diet.  We will be providing the land and the mechanical inputs and the Karen farmers will be providing the hand labor.  Their vegetables will be marketed at Waterman's Farm Market as well as at  some farmers markets in the Indianapolis area.  Your support in this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.

"A Refugee is a person who "owing to well-founded fear of being persecuted for reason of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group, or political opinion, is outside the country of [their] nationality, and is unable to or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail [themselves] of the protection of that country." - Defintions & Obligations
